Talos- The presentation

Talos was a giant bronze man who guarded the island of Crete by throwing stones at the ships of unwanted visitors. He was most probably created by Hephaestus and given to either Minos or Europa as a gift. Talos’ only weakness was his ankle, where the single vein containing all of his life-fluid ichor, the blood of the gods, was sealed with a thin membrane of skin or a bronze nail. Medea exploited this weakness and killed Talos by bewitching him to graze his ankle on a sharp rock.

3rd Ltt in Zaragosa

The 3rd Ltt was held in Zaragosa, Spain. A city full of lights and color, similar to the title of the meeting “Light, lines and life”. Our students had a great time and only nice things to remember  from this beautiful and lively city. Some photos and videos prove it

3rd Ltt in Zaragosa- Art and Science photos and video

The 3rd Ltt took place in Zaragosa, Spain. Among other workshops our students tried to take photos and videos of all the monuments and spots they visited and made impression to them in order to create a photo show and a short video about the Art and Science spots in Zaragosa.

World Science Day

In order to celebrate the World Science Day  we visited the ΕΚFE in Pyrgos, where mr. Kalogirou helped the students to fulfill a series of experiments, some of which could easily be seen as art

The 2 slots experiment

Isaac Newton propounded that light consists of a flow of particles. Generations of students and researchers have accepted this idea. Light was believed to be composed of large numbers of billiard-ball type material bodies, visualized as spherical objects that traveled through vacuum and non-opaque regions with no luminiferous medium required. Thomas Young’s work in the early nineteenth century contradicted this established view. He apparently started with a pro-wave agenda, which he communicated to the scientific community by means of a series of well-constructed experiments. One of his experiments remains one of the most famous and beautiful, the two slot experiment. Our students tried to make an artistic representation of the experiment.

2nd Ltt in Reykjavik, Iceland

The second Ltt of our project took place in Reykjavic, Iceland in April, 2018. In a very cold, at least for the Greeks, environment we had the change to live for a few days in a place that has very few similarities to our country. The weather, the daylight, even the ground itself created a unique experience that perhaps we could not even imagine. Some photos and video of this amazing place are shown here:
