Brno offered us a WARM welcome and a fantastic week

Students and teachers from the seven countries met in Brno from 19th to 25th January 2019. All through the week the group experienced a positive atmosphere which made activities more and more enjoyable and interesting.

The week started with a presentation of students’ videos on the making of simple machines using recycled materials  and told as fairy tales. Italian students showed two beautiful videos on lamps  made with plastic caps and  bottles.

Students took part to several workshops on science both at school and at VIDA Scientific Centre and they played Seppo and Kahoot games using their knowledge of the city of Brno. These activities cemented the relationship with students of other countries and improved their competence and fluency in English.

Students were enthusiastic of the visit of Prague with the old Clock Tower , Charles Bridge and the old Jewish area and they were particularly impressed by the site where Jan Palach set himself on fire protesting against Soviet invasion.

Czech families were very caring and they did everything to make the students feel at home and together with Brno school they played a fundamental role for the success of the project.
